Hike to Lake Mary's

This is at the beginning of the hike at a place by we parked the car. Aubree, Kylee, cousin McKennah and Braden

While we were in Salt Lake, we spent a day hanging out with my dad, Jeannine, Tiffany and McKennah. They took us on a hike to Lake Mary's which is up by Brighton ski resort. There were pretty wild flowers so of course, Aubree was loving it. It was a really neat hike and as we got higher, there was actually still snow on the ground! We had a mini-snow ball fight and there was even a section where the kids could slide down the snow! Part of the hike is going through a stream so we had to just hop along exposed rocks to get up it. It was fun and good to see my kids actually can hike when they need to. Sometimes they are whiny about hiking but they did pretty well this day. However, Braden did get upset and wanted to be done with the hike. Jeannine ended up carrying him part of the way and he is not a light load!

Final destination! The lake was so pretty. The kids and Gary took their shoes off and waded in the water. Brrr...did I mention there was still snow on the ground? This water was not warm!
