New Years Eve!

For New Year's Eve this year, we went with a group of friends to Glenwood Hot Springs and then to our house for a party afterwards. We were originally going to go to St. George to stay for a few days, but the weather was horrible! We decided the icy and snowy roads wouldn't be worth it. Plus, the St. George weather was supposed to be cold as well, and the whole reason we wanted to go was to be warm. Instead, we headed up to Glenwood. The hot springs were a lot of fun. It was a weird feeling being so hot in the water, but having our head out in the freezing temperatures. In fact, we even got little ice crystals in our hair as we were soaking in water! I had to keep dunking my head underwater because my ears and face were so cold.
We got home and made burgers and home made fries (using Gary's new french fry cutter, I might add). It was so fun because we got the kids involved with some fun games like musical chairs and limbo. We had some great music, laughs and friends. What a great start to the new year! Amazingly, all the kids stayed up until midnight. Too many fun things to do...who wants to sleep with all that going on?
